I’ve known Julia since long before she ever even remotely considered having a kid. I mean, we go way back. I remember days when she and I would meet up at El Cerro Grande or On The Border and just start ordering chips, salsa (the hottest salsa in the house, please), and drink… after drink… after drink. Oh yes, those were good times. But, unfortunately, we both have to be responsible adults most of the time, so nowadays we talk about meeting up for coffee, sushi, and Kava… and then we get so busy with our bazillion other obligations that we never actually go through with our planned dates.
Sometimes I hate being a grown-up.
Dayton was three when we took these photos downtown. I’m including the below collage to show you what a portrait session with a three-year-old usually looks like:
Fun, right? As soon as Dayton figured out that Julia and I wanted him to be in pictures, he started running away and hiding. HILARIOUS! Kids are funny.
A couple times, I got lucky. Monkey helped him stay still for more than 0.06 seconds at a time.
Dayton has the prettiest mommy in Wilmington.
